Last night in Turkey

Nice to be in Marmaris

sunny

Cruising down the Mediterranean coast for the last 4 days has really made me so relaxed that the thought of trekking the Samarian Gorge in Chania, Greece just made me so tired. The water was crystal blue and the surroundings just so surreal. It was calming. The water was freezing cold but it was nice just to be swimming so close with other fish (ok they were little fish).

The best thing about the boat cruise was meeting the other passengers from around the globe, French, Italians, Koreans and yes there is always another Aussie and some Kiwis. The crew spoke no English except for the captain but half the time he was shouting in Turkish. Oh well....we made it to the next destination.

Tonight is the last night in Turkey. We are spending it in Marmaris, a resort town. It is beautiful despite only having a few hours of walking around. The main street lined with food and shops. The most spectacular thing is that there is a castle amongst the residential area. One house was built using the wall of the castle. The houses are very similar to the houses that we see in the postcards of Greek islands.

It is sad as we really love Turkey so much, however we are ready for the next destination. Rhodes, Greece here we come.

BTW: Do not go with Turista Tourism as they are truly low in service and ripped us off.
